The way it works is For a typical trivia event, each round is comprised of five with ten questions each. Each correct answer awards your team a point, resulting in a potential 50 points for the perfect game.

However, the fun doesn't stop there. The NYC Trivia League adds an additional element of competition by way of the bonus points system. Each day the top 25 teams earn extra points, with the most successful teams getting five bonus points, and the following 15 gaining 3. Over the course of the week the top 50 teams also receive bonus points, with the top 25 getting 10 and the bottom 25 receiving 5.

To calculate your league score, we start with your base score and adjust it to a 100-point range, with 15 bonus points that are available every week. In this case, a initial score of 50% points is multiplied by the number 85, and then bonus points are tacked on to get to a full 100.
